John is a British national, based in Auckland. He has worked as an investment banker and stockbroker for more than 20 years with a variety of institutions in the UK, Asia and the US. Before leaving to set up Kontiki, John was a vice-president with Goldman Sachs in New York.
John received bachelors and masters degrees in economics from Nottingham University and the London School of Economics in the UK, and an MSc from Duke University in the US. John also holds the CFA Charter and has previously passed extensive securities membership and licensing exams in the UK and US. He is licensed by the CMDA as an investment adviser and broker dealer representative.
